Frequently asked questions
Are you a licensed doctor?
I hold a valid German medical license (Approbation) and German board certification in OB-GYN and Reproductive Medicine. I am not licensed to practice medicine in the United States. Eggcellent Fertility provides independent educational reviews of your records, not medical care.
What makes this different from another doctor's appointment?
Time and completeness. A clinic appointment starts from your last cycle and lasts fifteen minutes. A Whole Picture Review starts from the beginning of your story and I've read all of it before you say a word. Also: I have no treatment to sell you.
Can you tell me which treatment to do?
I explain every option that exists for your situation, what each is designed to do, and the trade-offs specialists weigh between them — in more depth than you've probably ever heard. The decision itself belongs to you and your treating physician. My job is that you actually understand the decision.
Can you prescribe medication or order tests?
No. I don't prescribe, order tests, or manage treatment.
Do I need to already have a fertility doctor?
You should be under the care of a physician for your fertility, or planning to be. If you're just starting, the Review helps you understand your story before you choose where to go — and what to look for.
Do you only review IVF?
No. Many of my clients are trying naturally or doing IUIs. Whole picture means any picture.
Do you work with clients outside the US?
Most of my clients are outside the US: Germany, Switzerland, the Gulf, Africa and elsewhere. Online, in English or German, across time zones. Records from any country are fine; if something's in a language I don't read, we'll sort out a translation together.
Will you contact my clinic?
Not unless you ask and your clinic agrees. Most clients simply bring the written summary to their next appointment.
Is my information confidential?
Yes. Records go through encrypted upload — never email — and are deleted 90 days after your last session unless you ask otherwise. See the Privacy Policy.
What if my clinic disagrees with what you explained?
Then you'll have a real conversation with your clinic, which is the point. I'm not trying to be right against your doctor; I'm making sure the reasoning behind your plan gets explained to you.
Can I get a refund?
Yes, in full, up to 48 hours before your session. Once I have started reading your records, the work has been done and no refund is possible.
